 This past Second Saturday was a blast. What a great opportunity for Deborah and I to see and visit with each of you who have been a part of our store here in the village for so many years. Thank you again for stopping by, and thank you for your patronage and friendship all of these years! Saturday also was a great opportunity for those of you who were able to make an introduction to the new owners, Chris and Dawn Conyers. We have no doubt that they too will be hosting many great parties in the near future. Congratulation to those who were winners of our raffle on Saturday night!  Butterfly Nebula Check out this beautiful award-winning painting. Now you can! Renowned Fair Oaks artist, Gayle Anita, has loaned Bella Fiore the original of her Butterfly Nebula painting for our Second Saturday display. This distinctive painting won Best in Show in the St John's Art Festival, with juror Scott Shields, Associate Director & Chief Curator for the Sacramento Crocker Art Museum. You have surly already heard about our spectacular party. Now you have one more reason to see us this Saturday for our Second Saturday and Retirement Party at Bella Fiore. As a part of our departure, we are trying to through one Second Saturday party to remember. As a part of the festivities Tamara Fondelli has offered a print of her beautiful piece, Grape Press. The print comes framed and with glass. Raffle tickets will cost $5 each and will be available in the shop starting Wednesday morning. The drawing will be held at 8:30 this Saturday during Second Saturday festivities. Though we would hope you would stay and hang out, you need not be present to win. So add to a great party, a photo session by Michael Taylor and now a raffle for remarkable art by one of our favorite Fair Oaks artists. With heavy heart and high spirits Deborah and I are announcing our retirement from day to day operations and ownership at Bella Fiore. We are excited to say that we have sold our business to new owners, Dawn and Chris Conyers, who are committed to maintaining Bella Fiore’s high level of product and service quality, and connection to the local community. We are commemorating our departure with special Second Saturday on the Saturday, April the 9th. Deborah and I will both be on hand, as will Dawn and Chris Conyers. In addition to seeing you, we are looking forward to raffling off artwork and services by some of our favorite local artists, a live art demonstration, and more events which will be announced shortly. We invite you to join us for an evening of great community fun and festivities, and a chance to see you all one last time. Deborah and I will be working at the shop until May 1st, when the Conyers take over full time. We will be continuing to provide some support for the months to come, but are also looking forward to some grand new adventures. The Fair Oaks Village has long been our home, and will continue to be for many years to come. Please join us April 9th for a wonderful evening. Running the flower shop and boutique for the past 14 years has been a dream comes true for us. We hope to see as many of you as possible on the 9th, or before May 1st. Teresa Mihalko Harbert is a local artist trained in the art of Pysanky. Teresa stumbled into the shop awhile ago to purchase tickets for the Fair Oaks Theater Festical production of Minnie's Boys. Noticing all the great art we had up in the shop, she asked if we ever displayed local artists? I said we tried to when ever possible to feature local artists. I asked her if she was an artist and Teresa said yes. What is your medium I asked? Eggs, she replied. I looked puzzeled and she then said Pysanky it is an old Ukranian art form of coloring different types of eggs. We are glad to announce that Teresa Mihalko Harbert will be our featured artist for Second Saturday in August. She will be demonstrating her art form all evening. We enjoyed another wonderful artwalk during last weeks Second Saturday as lots of new folks came out to check out art displays and new participants at Encore Home Furnishings and Art and Slocum House. Momentum has continued to build as we look forward to adding even more venues next month to display art as well as provide other services, entertainment, or just to remain open for visitors to have even more to see and to enjoy. Congratulations to Charmaine Austin who is the winner the 2nd Saturday drawing. Charmain visited 5 of our 7 locations open in the Fair Oaks Village during Second Saturday and won a professional photography sitting with local photographer Michael Taylor. Stay tuned for next month when we look forward to adding even more partners in the Fair Oaks Village for Second Saturday festivities. Have a favorite business in the village? Bella Fiore, event florist and Fair Oaks Village boutique and art gallery, announces it's July Second Saturday festivities and drawing. Bella Fiore will continue to feature the artwork of Sacramento Area artists; Charmaine Austin, Merriel Taylor, Tamara Fondelli, Lauren Forcella, and Photographer Michael Taylor. Additional art by Tamara Randall Fondelli will be on display in the village hot spot Slocum House where visitors can also take advantage of some hor d' oeuvres. Bella Fiore will be open during the typical Second Saturday hours of 6pm to 9pm. Other Fair Oaks Village participants will include Chroma Art Gallery, Encore Home Furnishings and Art, Phil Evans Studio and Sculpture Park, Raven Hill Studio, Art Gallery Tupos, and the New Art Works Gallery Those who visit at least 5 locations on Second Saturday will be entered to win a free professional sitting for 2 with professional photographer and artist Michael Taylor. Bella Fiore Florists is pround to continue showing exciting art in our shop during the second saturdays in the Fair Oaks Village. We now have 5 different gallery locations around the village, all showing different artists. We are very excited to be showing the wonderful floral art of Gold River artist Lauren Forcella. The special Valentine's Day Second Saturday was a great success. We had lots of people who enjoyed the Art some wine and snacks. Neal & Brenda won the art print raffle and were very excited to put the piece in their new home. Next month we are pleased to announce our artist is "Bita" with her personalized greeting cards and Pastel & Watercolor Art. Come on by March 14 and say hello.
